Patrick Treherne began realizing an interest in Photography at the age of 18 while serving in the United States Air Force in Germany. It was there that he bought his first camera. Patrick would take pictures of the German countryside so that he could later paint the beautiful places he saw on canvas.

Throughout his thirty-five year career as a railroad engineer, Patrick continued taking pictures of the beautiful scenery of his travels. Although he would still occasionally paint from his photographs, his art became dominated by the camera. Eventually, he found his camera taking the place of his paint brush and people became his primary subject.

After retiring from the railroads, Patrick enrolled in a portrait photography course at the University of South Alabama. He found a quick fascination with the human form and the art of capturing not just a photograph, but the inner spirit of a person. Patrick enjoyed the challenge of capturing a person's character, humor, and inner beauty.

In 1998, Patrick became a Professional photographer and founded Memories Photography.

Families will find photo shoots to be enjoyable with Patrick. He will work to capture each family member in individual photographs as well as group portraits. You will find that Patrick can capture the simple and unconditional love of family within his portraits by focusing on family interaction.

During glamour shoots, Patrick will treat you with the utmost respect and privacy. Patrick also enjoys capturing your true personality and prefers to take natural, unposed portraits.

Setting & Format

Patrick specializes in natural settings such as the beach, a park, or a backyard. He prefers to not use studio settings due to the uncomfortable atmosphere and lack of inspiration. Although Patrick prefers the outdoors, indoor settings such as churches and reception halls also make beautiful settings as you can see in his online wedding portfolio.
